Interview with Stacey McNabney

I am Stacey, a dedicated social media and sales strategy coach committed to empowering women in business to elevate their sales and achieve remarkable success. With a passion for transforming businesses, I combine my expertise in social media marketing and sales strategy to provide actionable insights and personalised coaching. My mission is to help female entrepreneurs overcome challenges, build confidence, and unlock their full potential, whether you’re looking to boost your social media presence, refine your sales techniques, or develop a winning strategy.

What inspired you to start your own business, and what challenges did you face in the initial stages of entrepreneurship?

I always knew I was meant to have my own business! I just wasn't sure what until I started. At the start it was lack of guidance and self belief.

How do you maintain a work-life balance while running a successful business?

I make my business part of my lifestyle, I keep a simple strategy which works for me. I also keep my mindset and health as my number one priority which allows me to balance things better mentally.

Can you share a significant milestone or achievement that you are particularly proud of in your entrepreneurial journey?

The moment I started to believe in myself instead of just saying I did.

Have you experienced any gender-related obstacles or biases since starting your own business?

I found the start difficult being a young female but I think that came down to my own lack of self belief.

How do you empower and support other women in business?

By understanding their thoughts and feelings and supporting them in bringing out the best in them.

What role has mentorship played in your career, and how has it influenced your growth as a business owner?

Mentorship has been an absolute game-changer for me, to be able to be guided by someone else who's doing what I want and learning as much as I can. I wouldn't be where I am now without it.

How have you found marketing your business – has it been easy for you, or have you found it quite difficult?

I used to find it difficult, but that's because I used to overcomplicate it. Now I do what works for me and double down on what's working best.

What are your main marketing activities, and what do you find works best for you?

Social media and networking.

Can you discuss a time when you had to pivot or adapt your business strategy?

When I was trying to do things without patience. I'd try a strategy and if it didn't work quick enough I'd question it and change it. Since learning to have patience and resistance I've seen a massive positive difference.

Looking ahead, what are your future goals and aspirations for your business?

To create a positive impact and help other businesses do the same. I absolutely love being an entrepreneur so have a couple of other businesses in the pipeline.
