What inspired you to start your own business, and what challenges did you face in the initial stages of entrepreneurship?

For most of my adult life, I was a retail manager in cosmetics, but deep down, I felt called to something more meaningful. I didn’t know what that was until I began working with a spiritual life coach—it transformed my life in ways I never imagined. That’s when I knew I wanted to bring this same sense of empowerment and transformation to others. I quit my job, stopped drinking, and began my journey into coaching. During lockdown, after losing my job early, I took it as a sign from the universe to go all-in on building my own business.

At first, I struggled. I worked for free, and despite my passion, I didn’t know how to market myself or attract clients. It wasn’t until I aligned my business with my authentic self—embracing my spiritual and witchy nature—that things truly clicked. That alignment changed everything.

How do you maintain a work-life balance while running a successful business?

Time blocking has been a game-changer for me. Every Sunday, I plan my week, making sure I balance client work with self-care. I’ve learned that rest and rejuvenation are just as crucial to my success as any business task. I no longer work evenings unless I’m hosting an event, and I reserve weekends for myself. This allows me to show up fully for my clients and ensures my own energy stays aligned.

Can you share a significant milestone or achievement that you are particularly proud of in your entrepreneurial journey?

Launching my membership, The Lunar Coven, was a profound milestone. I had long dreamed of creating a sacred space for women to explore their witchy, spiritual selves, and when it finally happened, the joy was overwhelming. I cried that night, knowing I was helping women reconnect with their inner power. Another huge moment was quitting my day job and realising I had built this thriving business from nothing. I feel incredibly blessed to help women grow in their own spiritual journeys.

Have you experienced any gender-related obstacles or biases since starting your own business?

Thankfully, no. The spiritual coaching industry is very female-centric, and I’m surrounded by an inspiring community of women.

How do you empower and support other women in business?

I help spiritual and holistic small business owners overcome self-doubt, silence their inner imposter, and create a strategy to grow thriving, authentic businesses. It’s an honour to witness their transformation. I also actively support other women-led businesses by recommending them, purchasing their products, and sharing their work on my platforms. I love seeing the ripple effect—when women rise, we all rise.

What role has mentorship played in your career, and how has it influenced your growth as a business owner?

Mentorship has been crucial to my success. I’ve had mentors who showed me how I didn’t want to coach, and those who helped me discover my true path. My current mentor has been a huge influence, guiding me to make transformative changes in my business. Without this guidance, I wouldn’t be where I am today.

How have you found marketing your business – has it been easy for you, or have you found it quite difficult?

Marketing has always been a bit of a challenge for me, which is why I invest in mentorship. It’s funny—I'm great at helping my clients see their blind spots, but when it comes to my own business, I sometimes get stuck in my own!

What are your main marketing activities, and what do you find works best for you?

I focus on a blend of email marketing, social media, networking, and my website. My clients come from a pretty even mix of these channels, and I find that showing up authentically and consistently is what resonates most with my audience.

Can you discuss a time when you had to pivot or adapt your business strategy?

About two and a half years ago, I reached a point where I felt completely out of alignment. I was doing all the "right" things but wasn’t getting the results I wanted. That’s when I made a pivotal decision to fully embrace my witchy, spiritual side—not just personally but in my business. I created a video where I stepped into my power, integrating witchcraft into my work and ditching the inauthentic strategies that didn’t feel right. Once I aligned with my core values—authenticity, integrity, and intuition—everything changed. This year, I made a big pivot to focus on helping other spiritual and holistic small business owners, and I couldn’t be more excited about it.

Looking ahead, what are your future goals and aspirations for your business?

The future is so full of possibility! I envision launching a podcast, writing a book, hosting retreats, and eventually having my own physical space for events and gatherings. I also want to grow my team so I can help even more spiritual entrepreneurs thrive in alignment with their authentic selves.
